Having a slim figure is every fan's dream. The latest issue of the American magazine "Real Simple" reveals eight secrets to being thin.

Secret 1: Skinny people love foods that are large in volume but low in calories. Barbara Rawls, a professor of nutrition at the University of Pennsylvania, points out that many skinny people love to eat fruits, vegetables, and soups, which are low in calories, filling, and mostly rich in fiber.
Secret #2: Slim people eat from small bowls. Slim people tend to order smaller portions of food, and their plates and bowls are also one size smaller than usual. Furthermore, eating smaller, more frequent meals is another secret to their slim figures.
Secret #3: Skinny people put themselves first. Registered dietitian Anne Fletcher says that skinny people always prioritize whether their diet is correct, whether they exercise regularly, and whether they can manage stress effectively.
Secret #4: Slim people's parents are also slim. Dr. James O. Hill of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center states that genetics accounts for 30% of a slim physique, with the remainder being environmental factors. Often, these individuals are also influenced by their parents, enjoying exercise and healthy eating from a young age.
