Several golden rules for weight loss

Even the most beautiful woman won't look good if she's overweight, so the only option is to lose weight. However, weight loss isn't just about getting a lower number on the scale; it's about achieving a healthy, slim, and shapely figure. Below, a weight loss expert shares some golden rules for weight loss. Learn them quickly and don't blindly pursue weight loss anymore.

When I think about weight loss, I naturally think of a healthy body and a peaceful life. Personally, I find weight loss quite simple: first, it doesn't require dieting; second, it doesn't require spending a lot of time at the gym. Now, let me share my personal weight loss experience!

1. Maintain a cheerful mood

It's well known that much excess weight is a consequence of emotional eating. Sweets, high-fat foods, creamy foods, greasy foods, and high-carbohydrate foods are "poison" for most people; we completely lose resistance to them because they make us feel good (at least temporarily). Besides, snacks aren't expensive at all; everyone can afford them, and eating snacks won't be condemned by society, right?

The problem is that along with the delicious taste comes the reality of weight gain, followed by a heavy sense of guilt and a strong sense of blow to self-esteem. Think about it, isn't that right? You're incredibly happy while eating, but afterwards you feel like a complete failure, severely frustrated. In fact, over time, this can seriously damage your self-confidence.

So never expect to solve the problem with food. From now on, you must shift your focus and try to make yourself happier. Soon you'll find that your weight will naturally decrease. Actually, I also struggled with weight loss for many years (I'm not actually fat, I just couldn't lose that little bit of extra weight). When I gave up on dieting and started to focus on living life properly, I found that I felt much lighter both physically and mentally, but my weight went back up a bit.

2. Give up snacks

No matter how many weight loss methods you've heard of, the most common one, from a metabolic perspective, is to eat more frequent meals to avoid feeling unbearably hungry during main meals. My lifestyle plan only allows me to eat breakfast late, lunch normally, and dinner early. This way, the time between meals won't exceed four hours, and I won't get too hungry before the next meal. When I crave a snack, I usually eat an apple, berries, unsweetened green tea, plus a piece of dark chocolate or two cookies (about 72 calories). These are all very good for the body.

3. Keep yourself busy

Most of the time, we snack because we're bored or don't know what to do. We might snack while watching TV, chew on something while working, eat while driving, or have a drink while reading or waiting. Keep yourself busy with work, find something exciting to do at home, try new hobbies, spend more time outdoors, go out and meet friends, learn new things, find something special to do, and don't just stay home watching TV all the time. In short, enrich your life, not just your stomach.

4. Pursue health and beauty, not just a slim figure.

In reality, only a healthy diet and plenty of exercise can bring you a good figure. Losing weight simply to be slim is too superficial and doesn't really have much practical meaning. Besides being able to admire yourself in the mirror, there aren't many other benefits! Generally, when young, the strong motivation to lose weight is to find a partner, which sustains our efforts through rigorous dieting, intense exercise at the gym, and a long battle against hunger.
